Soft rot
A bacterial disease, which can affect stored or growing root crops, causing the tissues to discolour and turn to a mush. Cauliflower curds are susceptible too. The bacteria enter soft tissue that has become damaged in some way. Avoid poorly drained soils. Destroy affected plants.
